NOTICE OF PUBLIC PARTICIPATION PROCESS WATER USE LICENCE APPLICATION

Notice is hereby given in terms of the National Water Act, 1998 (Act No. 36 of 1998) that Gray Touch Investment CC has submitted a Water Use License Application (WULA) to the Department of Water and Sanitation (DWS) for proposed coal mining activities on Smutsoog 214 IS Farm, under the magisterial district of Ermelo, Mpumalanga province.

Application Reference Number: WU50299

The application relates to water uses associated with the proposed mining activities, which may include:

* Section 21 (a): Taking water from a water resource

* Section 21(g): Disposing of waste

* Section 21(c): Working in or near a watercourse/drainage line

* Section 21(i): Altering the bed, banks or characteristics of a water resource Interested and Affected Parties (I&APs) are hereby invited to participate in the Public Participation Process by:

•Registering as an I&AP;

•Submitting written comments, concerns or objections;

•Requesting access to application documents; and

•Raising any issues relating to the proposed water uses and associated activities.
