Notice is hereby given of a Basic Assessment process in terms of Chapter 5 of the National Environmental Management Act, 1998 (Act No. 107 of 1998), as amended, and the Environmental Impact Assessment Regulations, 2014 (promulgated under NEMA), as amended, of intent to carry out the following activity:

Project name: Clearing of indigenous vegetation and Cultivation, on Portions 19 & 21 of the Farm Karino 134 JU.

Project description: An area totalling approximately 13 ha, is to be cleared and utilized for agriculture;

•The area is adjacent to existing agricultural fields but is currently undisturbed, natural bush.

•The client wishes to convert this land for mass crop production.
