Notice is hereby given in terms of Sections 24(5)(f) and (o) of the National Environmental Management Act, 1998 (Act No. 107 of 1998), as amended, read together with the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Regulations, 2017 (GN R326), as amended, and Section 27 of the Mineral and Petroleum Resources Development Act, 2002 (Act No. 28 of 2002).
Inkosi Iyabusa Holdings has been appointed by the applicant Mpumalanga Department of Public Works to undertake the Environmental Assessment Application Process for the proposed establishment of a borrow pit. Proposed project: The project entails the establishment of a gravel and aggregate material borrow pit on Portion 0 of Vlakbult No: 450 JU within the Ehlanzeni District Municipality in the Mpumalanga Province. The GPS Co-ordinates: 2539`1.66″S 3143`44.21″E
The proposed development triggers Activity 21 and Activity 27 under the Environmental Impact Assessment Regulations GN R327, Listing Notice 1.
Interested and Affected Parties (I&APs) are invited to register and submit comments, issues, or concerns regarding the proposed development within 30 days from the date of this advertisement.
