This programme has just kicked off and I have been inundated with new junior members signing up.

With us hosting our first clinic last weekend, I am confident of being able to put together a full junior club champs tournament for mid-December. This may not seem a big thing, but bear in mind that we have not hosted one since 2005 which was won by Rourke Van Der Spuy, who went on to turn professional and is now on the Sunshine Tour with a win on that tour under his belt already.

Our successful turn-out would not have been possible without your help, and in this sometimes thankless world, I would like to send the BNPGC’s thanks to you and your team for every story you have covered for us. Thankfully, this one being a lot less doom and gloom.

MARK A WARRENER

Ed’s note: Thank you Mark for your kind praise. We hope your drive to increase your junior membership continues to be successful and that the skills of the area’s junior golfers grows in leaps and bounds under BNPGC’s tutelage.
