Noel and Nouse claim Big Jim pairs bowls
RESULTS from Wentworth Bowling Club's women's skips played on Thursday afternoon, saw first prize go to Louisa McGlynn and Johnny du Plessis with 4+21, and second prize to John Somerville and Levuyo with 4+10.
The first session prize was taken by Elsie Gill’s team, and second session went to Sharon de Kock and her partner.
In the men’s Friday casual bowls, first prize went to Jumbo Nel, Andy Cloete and Cyril Weston with +12. Second prize was won by Hilton Lassak, Brian Hollis and Smiler with +10. Sportsman’s prize went to Dudley Dorrofield, Eric Miller and Fred Andrew. Ron Jackson is cooking the beef this week, and Herbie Hoffman is roasting the pork. The 1st 60/40 board went to Mouse Ratcliff and Herbie Hoffman, the 2nd board was won by Keith Wild and Ron Jackson.
Results from the Big Jim played on Sunday, first prize was taken by Noel and Mouse with 4+23. First session was won by Allen and Ronel while the second session went the way of Robert and Moses. The 1st 60/40 board went to Allen Ritchie and Eric Miller and the second 60/40 board was won by Rick Blann and Ken Koch. The whisky raffle was won by Hilton Lassak.
In upcoming events, every Wednesday at 2pm, there is family and friends tabs in, where all are welcome.
Every Friday at 9am, it’s the men’s casual bowls. Members must check the board for games posted.
