Rain douses first cricket league match for Quins
The first team take on Pinetown Cricket Club’s first team at Lahee Park in a 50 over challenge league stream one encounter on Sunday, 6 October commencing at 9 am.
AFTER a six month period of relatively dry conditions, Umbilo Harlequins' first cricket league match of the 2013/ 2014 cricket season was preceded by a day and a half of perpetual rain, which rendered play impossible.
The match was abandoned by 6.30am on Sunday morning, 29 September.
Quins will be accredited two log points as a result of the draw. The first team take on Pinetown Cricket Club’s first team at Lahee Park in a 50-over challenge league stream one encounter on Sunday, 6 October starting at 9 am. All other teams start their league matches next Sunday, with the exception of the fourth side.
The U11s will adjust their training schedule from Sundays to weekdays to accommodate their Sunday morning league matches. For specific time criteria call coach Shane Manicom on 083-402-7964.
