Greg and co take trips title

On Sunday the A green was opened for the first time since maintenance work was carried out and the Lilah Nel any pairs tournament was played.

BLUFF Bowling Club’s Greg Dorrofield, Alex Fisher and Noel Morel won the men’s drawn trips title on Saturday by defeating Gary Moffat, Mouse Rattcliffe and Jorge Santos in the final.

In the only other match played, Dave Rowe, Elize Stapelberg and Brian Osman beat Clinton Bisset, Heather Jackson and Harvey Simkins in the mixed drawn trips.

On Sunday the A green was opened for the first time since maintenance work was carried out and the Lilah Nel any pairs tournament was played. John Sommerville and Terry Mickelson took home the first prize of R400 with a score of 4+11. The first session was won by Dave Le Roux and Bridget White on a 2+20 and the second session by Lilah Nel and Gary Moffat on a 2+10. The 50/50 board was won by Jay Retief.

There were no winners of the lotto on Friday night but a good evening had by all as Allen Ritchie celebrated his 70th birthday with a party organised by Janet. A large contingent of family and friends turned up for an enjoyable evening and the club wishes Allen many more.

Norman Robinson is still undergoing treatment for his ailment, and the club ha heard that Clarke Meyer is much better.
