Andy, Alan claim men’s drawn pairs spoils

On Saturday, 18 January three men’s single matches were played at Woodlands Bowling Club.
Dennis Holloway and Dave Lloyd went to 30 ends before Dennis pulled out the whip to win 21-16.
Norman Moore beat Ralph Mostert 21-14 and Bill Hewer cruised to a comfortable win over Arthur Carlyle 24-13. Andy Cloete and Alan Bower beat Keith Nel and Dave Vincent 23-18 in the men’s drawn pairs.
The January shirts and skirts will be played on Sunday, 26 January. Call Arthur on 076-588-7377 to enter a side.
John Ferguson, Kobus van Vuuren and Dennis Tarboton won the meat on Friday night while Keith Jenkins was not present to claim the snowball jackpot. The Saturday swindle winners being Dennis Tarboton twice, Stuart Douglas twice, Chubbydale Greg Berry, Glen de Wildt, Derek Botha, Lesley Morrison and Ernie Pieterse.
