Phoenix 6ths forfeit to Quins 5ths

Quins passed the total in the 16th over and won by seven wickets.

PHOENIX 6 arrived at Highbury at 2.10pm and therefore had to forfeit the game as per DDCU rules.

Their captain Shaveer agreed to this.

By mutual agreement, the two teams decided to play a 20/20 and so Phoenix 6 batted first, scoring 105/6 in their 20 overs. Two bowlers did well – Andre Potgieter 3-0-12-2 and Huey Naicker 3-0-10-1.

Quins 5 went in to bat, losing the openers for minimal runs until Ryan Baronet and Huey Naicker steadied the ship, with Ryan scoring 48 n/o and Huey Naicker scoring 37.

Quins passed the total in the 16th over and won by seven wickets.

The state of Highbury 1 was satisfactory, but the rest of the outfields are atrocious. Quins plays at Highbury again next week so it is hoped the outfields are better.
