DURBAN Ramblers Hiking Club Saturday and Sunday programme for February:

On Saturday, 15 February take a hike to Paradise Valley.

Meet at Paradise Valley – 1 Oxford Road, at 1.45pm. Entrance fee is R20. Walk under cover along the banks of the Umbilo River. There will be a shorter hike available.
Grade: Easy/Moderate

On Sunday, 16 February Ballito to Salt Rock and back

Beach hike (with optional return on tar). Always popular – don’t forget cozzie/shorts, hat and sunscreen. Meet at the Shell Garage at the Hypermarket-by-the-Sea, Durban North at 7am or at Tedder Way, Ballito at 7.30am.
R35 per person petrol-sharing. Optional drinks and lunch later at a venue to be decided.
Distance: 12km. Rating: Easy.
