Junior rugby practises kick off

The aim of the club is to introduce all children to the game of rugby.

HARLEQUINS Rugby Club is an established sports club on the Bluff in which junior rugby forms an integral part of the club.

Junior rugby is affiliated with the DRSU, which is a sub-union for the Durban region.

Harlequins junior rugby caters for boys from the ages of six to 18 years. The age groups are divided into two groups namely U6 to U11 that play in the second term and U13 to U18 that play in the third term.

The aim of the club is to introduce all children to the game of rugby, as most schools on the Bluff and surrounding areas do not cater for this. All coaches have Boksmart accreditation and are eager to train the children.

The first practise session for the U6 to U11s took place on Wednesday, 26 February from 6pm to 7pm and from now onwards, every Monday and Wednesday at the same time.
