Dave cleans up prize spoils at Wentworth BC
Thanks again to all who participated in the competitions and as always bowlers are always welcome.

AT Wentworth Bowling Club, due to adverse weather conditions, the Tuesday bowls was cancelled so there were no results.
Members managed to play the Wednesday family and friends fun bowls, with winners being Johnny Du Plessis and Robin De Gouveia with a plus three. Well done guys.
The only other competition held was the Friday men’s casual bowls where first prize went to Gerald Castor Royle, Buck Boettiger and Ron Addinal with a whopping plus 25. Second were Graham Brandsby and Brian Deats (pairs) on plus 12.
The sportsman’s prize was taken by Tomcat Cavanagh, Fred Andrews and Dave Carroll with a minus six (judging by what I heard they were all over the moon with their biscuits). However Dave Carroll got his own back by taking the pork (not meat according to uncle Tomcat Cavanagh) raffle with number 56, as well as the first draw of the 60/40 board R40 with number six. John Sommerville took the second draw with number 45 to take the R20 prize.
Weather permitting Wentworth BC will have its usual weekly competitions on Tuesday, being the men’s drawn pairs and on Wednesday, the fFamily and friends fun bowls as well as Friday’s men’s casual bowls. All are welcome.
Also to all in the league sides, be reminded that the next league game is on Saturday, 15 March. The result for the B side which played last weekend, 1 March, was 4-3 to Umhlali.
Thanks again to all who participated in the competitions and as always bowlers are always welcome. The club looks forward to seeing you at Wentworth.
