Montague comes in for ribbing from YWP golfers

SUNDAY, 2 March saw the Yellowwood Park golfers descend on the Toti course for their first game of golf this year.
Although playing under extreme hot conditions, the golfers were not daunted and some good scores were posted.
With the format being ‘drawn partners’, the first three positions were as follows: First Neville (braai master) Montague and Robbie (the mayor) Marten on 75 points; second Clint (Moses) Rusk and Alan (Oil baron) Smith on 65 points; third Nick(Bonus Bond) Field and Garth (coach) Hancock on 60 points.
These scores resulted in the official handicapper, NM, coming in for some friendly ribbing.
Nearest the pins were: Neville (Braai master) Montague; seventh Clint (Moses) Rusk; 15th Johan (Sniffer dog) van der Berg 17th Kevin (Five iron) Lacey.
