Dave, Paul climb onto Bluff BC perch
In the men's inter club league, the club also had mixed fortunes with the A side winning 5-2.

DAVE Le Roux and Paul White beat Spider Williams and Mouse Ratcliffe in the second session of the Bluff Bowling Club Bell any pairs competition, effectively knocking them off the perch.
They now sit there themselves, having won this month’s event with an overall score of 4+23.
The first session was won by Ben Newton and Herbie Roux with a 2+18 while the second session was captured by Ken Thomas and Chris Klopper on a 2+19. The 50/50 board was won by Eric Kitchenbrand the whiskey and chicken raffles were won by Jay Retief and Lilah Nel respectively.
In Port Natal competitions this past week, the club had some near misses as Clinton and Sarie Bisset lost in the semi-final of the mixed pairs and Clinton, Gary Moffat, Robbie Johnston and Tony Hoggins lost in the semi finals of the midweek league. In the men’s inter club league, the club also had mixed fortunes with the A side winning 5-2 at Westville Country Club and the B side going down 3-2 to Berea. There is a break in the league over the next few weeks before the last few rounds commence. However there will be internal club competitions played, so remember to check the notice board for postings.
Robert Mhlongo, Paul White and Dave Le Roux will be taking part in the qualifying masters this coming weekend and the club wishes them the best of luck.
This past Saturday there were a few women’s competition matches played and in the points singles, Lilah Nel beat Mari Mackenzie, Glynis Macrory beat Ronel Morel and Jay Retief defeated Phyllis Maritz while in the women’s nominated pairs Daphne Reinhardt and Sarie Bisset beat Dawn Spack and Elize Stapelberg.
The club hosts a social darts evening this coming Friday and all are welcome to join in for a fun-filled evening. See you there.
