Subs stay unchanged after Woodlands BC AGM
The main club committee must be commended on how much better the drive way to the club is looking.

THERE was no bowls during the week at Woodlands Bowling Club.
The AGM was held on Saturday with a good turnout.
There was nothing opposed from the agenda and the club has decided not to increase the subs. All members attending took along a bring and share item which everyone enjoyed after the AGM with tea, then went out to play bowls.
Linda Hewer and Colleen Blenner-Hassett played point singles with Colleen emerging the victor. Gloria Rice and Brian Kimber played against Norman Moore and Lynn Carlyle in the drawn mixed pairs, with Norman and Lynn battling to get ahead in points but finally they won the game. Well done to all the winners. Bill Hewer, Denis Holloway and Daphne Els beat Arthur Carlyle, Andy Cloete and David Lloyd in a friendly game. The club will host its Shirts and Skirts on Sunday, 28 September. To enter a team, call Arthur Carlyle on 076-588-7377.
On Friday night the meat draw was won by Cobus Janse van Vuuren, Lyndon Smith and Buks Swanepoel. The snowball is another carry over as Joyce Lorio was not there to grab the winnings. The swindle raffle went to the following: John Campbell, Glen de Wildt, Stan McNamara, Dennis Tarboton, Gavin Knox, Rodger Truner, Keith Hughes and Arlene Leuchars. The Lotto bonus ball went to Derek Botha.
The main club committee must be commended on how improved the drive way to the club is looking. They have managed to get some gravel to cover the driveway and flatten it, so no more white dust blows onto cars when the wind blows
