Results for the Bluff Meats mens pensioners bowls played on Friday, 19 September first prize was won by Dorro Doorofield, Paul Steele and Robin DeGouveia with + 10.

WENTWORTH Bowling Club’s results in the family and friends fun bowls played on Wednesday, 17 September saw first prize won by Joy Gillespie, Margaret Walters and Herbie Roux.
The sportsman’s prize went to Bokka van der Westhuizen and Dave Carroll.
The 60/40 board was won by Ann Bonthrone and Ron Gillespie.
Results for the Bluff Meats men’s pensioners bowls played on Friday, 19 September saw first prize won by Dorro Dorrofield, Paul Steele and Robin DeGouveia with + 10. Second prize went to Terry Micholson and Kurt Spack. Herbie Hoffman, Joe McNamarra and Brian Deats took the sportsman prize. The pork raffle was won by Allen Ritchie and Maria Cavanagh won the beef. The 60/40 board was won by Herbie Roux and Robin DeGouveia.
In the chicken run played on Sunday, 21 September, first prize went to Wayne Smith and Bernadette Pool, second prize was won by Cora van der Westhuizen and Ron Addinall. Brendan Davies and Hazel Blackbeard took the sportsman’s prize. Ann Bonthrone won the meat raffle and the 60/40 board was won by Cora van der Westhuizen and Ina Davies.
Chicken run casual bowls will be on Sunday, 5 October at 9am. The format will be 2-4-2 any pairs, this is for all those bowlers not involved in any standing Sunday competitions.
The Wentworth/Bluff Teddy Bears Challenge will be on 24 September starting at 9am. Go along and support this day at Wentworth BC.
The Friday night market will be held every first Friday of each month. Go and support this event on 3 October from 5pm. Book your table now with Zonia on 083-729-8934.
The club is also hosting a karaoke evenings every Saturday at 7pm as from 4 October. Go and sing your heart out.
Events for the next week: On Tuesday, 23 September there is bare feet bowls at 3.30pm, dress code is casual and bowls are provided.
On Wednesday, 24 September it’s the Wentworth/Bluff Teddy Bears challenge at 9am.
On Thursday, 25 September, Rawsons breakfast trips takes place at 9am.
On Friday, 26 September, Bluff Meats men’s pensioners bowls is at 9am.
On Sunday, 28 September Big Jim pairs gets underway at 9am.
The kitchen is open daily from Tuesdays until Sundays from 8am until 6pm. Breakfast, bar lunches and Sunday lunches are served. Call Ina Davies on 082-768-4644.
