On Saturday, 24 January take a hike to Hillcrest. Call hike leader Werner on 084-206-7836.
Meet at the Heritage Market at the Keg at 1.45pm. The hike goes down to the valley below with a small stream crossing. There are some wooded areas, sugarcane fields and open areas. Meet back at the Keg for drinks afterwards. No shorter hike available. This 10km hike is graded moderate, two.
On Sunday, 25 January explore Bux’s Farm. Call Margie on 073-437-6915.
Confirm with hike leader before the Sunday hike.
Meet at Union Main Centre, Old Main Road, Pinetown at 7am. Drive in convoy to Summerveld Lodge, where the hike starts. It will be a morning of meandering up and down hills around the quarry, across grasslands and past nurseries.
This 15km hike is graded three, strenuous.
