Woodlands BC’s shirts and skirts to get competitive
On Friday night the snowball was won by Bill Hewer.

IT was another quiet week at Woodlands Bowling Club.
On Friday afternoon the mixed pairs competition between Gloria Rice and Bill Hewer against Linda Hewer and Denis Holloway was played with Gloria and Bill the victors on 24-12.
Due to the Port Natal trips starting on Sunday, there were no competitions played on Saturday afternoon. The women’s team for the Port Natal trips was Gloria Rice, Rina Harper and Linda Hewer. There were three games played on Sunday at Amanzimtoti.
In the first game the women triumphed with a score of 20-9 against Amanzimtoti. In the second game they lost to Westville 7-19 and they had a good win against Hillcrest with a score of 28-3. The men’s team didn’t do very well. The team was Norman Moore, Dix Harold and Bill Hewer and they lost both their first and second games so didn’t play the last game.
On Sunday, 22 February the club will host the Remax shirts and skirts. To enter a team, call Rina Harper on 031-466-3820.
On Friday night the snowball was won by Bill Hewer. The 100 club draw was won by Mike McFarland. The meat winners were K Naicker, Denis Holloway and G Voight. The swindle winners were Dennis Tarboton (twice), Cobus Janse van Vuuren, George and Dawn Moore (twice), Sharon Hall, Rob de Wildt, Derek Botha and Dave and Arlene Leuchars.
For enquiries to hire the hall or tabs room, contact Linda Hewer on 082-724-6575. Colin Dawson serves a variety and tasty selection of food. Go and join in on a Friday night on the veranda.
