Woodlands hosts lighthearted mixed drawn fours
On Wednesday, 4 March the club hosts the Remax any pairs competition.
MUCH laughter was heard coming from the Woodlands Bowling Club greens as two teams battled it out on this past weekend’s cool and windy Saturday afternoon, to play the first round of mixed drawn fours.
All credit must go to Norman Moore, Andy Cloete, Dennis Holloway and Daphne Els, who beat Rina Harper, Ralph Mostert, Dave Lloyd and Lynn Carlyle with a score of 22-11.
Well played all.
On Sunday the club hosted the Remax shirts and skirts. Many thanks to Remax. The first session winners were Robbie Carr, Derek Stevens, Dennis and Chantal Hearnshaw on a 2+7. The second session winners were Arnie Harper, Terry, Rina Harper and Russell on 2+7 and overall winners were Norman Moore, Phil Pietersen, Val McCaffery and Johan Nel on 4+11.
Richard Hendicott won the meat raffle and Tommy Simpkins ran off with the R40 money board and left the dregs of R20 to Loren Hawkins. The drawn prizes were as follows: Skip Kim Hawkins, third JoAnne Jordaan, second Arthur Carlyle and lead Jackie Freeman. To hire the tabs room for small functions, call Linda Hewer on 082-724-6575.
