Shuttles fly as badminton doubles tourney underway
The club's Valentines fun tournament was very well attended, with over 40 entries.
THE first round of Yellowwood Park Badminton Club’s pre-season doubles tournament went off very well and it seems that everyone is having a wonderful time.
Results were: A section: Die kerels vs Swallows 3/0; Nemesis vs Untouchables 3/0; Asian Triplets vs Gamechangers 2/1;
Hot Shots vs Jokers 2/1. B section: Border Capers vs Pink Women 2/1; Spectrum vs Pelicans 3/0; Pimp my Racket Mafia vs Invitation B 3/0; Ninjas vs Sisters 2/1. C section: Voodoo vs Dragons 3/0; Oddballs vs Eagles 3/0; Smitheroonies vs Rotators 2/1. Invitation C bye.

In the women’s section, fourth place went to Bethany and Penny; third place Debbie and Fiona; second Lynette/Jhanvi and the winners were Kelse and Akaila.
In the men’s section, fourth place went to Quinton and Reece; third place Shoreek and Ivan; second place Bonnie and Rob and winners were Willie and Nischay.
