At the Port Natal annual general meeting earlier in the year, a motion was passed to reduce the number of teams representing each club in the top flight from three to two. At the time, not much consideration was given to the pros and cons of reducing the teams, and after the motion was passed by vote, the true implications were discussed by a number of clubs in the Port Natal area and a special general meeting was called. That meeting took place on Saturday, 28 February and a vote of 78 for and 11 against instituted that the previous decision be overruled. Thus the men’s league will continue as it was last year, with each club being represented by three teams in the top league.
