Ina wins Wentworth women’s open singles title

AT Wentworth Bowling Club, the Tuesday men’s pensioners was played on 24 February, with Ken Koch and Robin De Gouveia in first place and Terry Micholson and Johann Vorster in second.
The 60/40 board was won by Keith Wild and Terry Micholson.
The first Chicken Shack pairs game that was played on Wednesday, 25 February saw first prize go to Terry Micholson and Johan Nel with 4+22 and second prize taken by John Somerville and Colin Nicholas with 4+12.
The second session prize was won by Colin Coetzee and Ben Venter with 2+9. Eric Miller and Derick Stevens won the 60/40 board and Ken Koch took the meat raffle. The next Chicken Shack pairs will be on 25 March.
In the family and friends fun bowls played on Wednesday, 25 February, first prize went to Frank Greyvenstein, Eileen du Plessis and Anne Bonthrone, and Terry Micholson and Johann Vorster took the sportsman prize while Robin De Gouveia and Margaret Walters won the 60/40 board.
Rawsons breakfast trips was played on 26 February where first prize winners were John Somerville, Terry Micholson and Ellen Loots with 4+29. Second prize went to Brendan Davies, Brian Smith and Lady Maria Cavanagh with 4+22 and second session was taken by Norman Moore, Phillip Pieterse and Claude Newman with 2+19. Lovely couple Kurt and Dawn Spack won the 60/40 board. Ellen Loots won the pork and Tomcat took the beef home. The next Rawsons breakfast trips will be on 26 March.
In the Bluff Meats men’s pensioners played on Friday, 27 February first prize went to Colin Coetzee, Derek Stevens and Andy Cloete with + 27, while second prize was taken by Jumbo Nel, Terry Micholson and Buck Boettiger with + 16. Steven Evenwell, Herbie Roux and Robin De Gouveia took the sportsman prize. The first 60/40 board was won by Andy Cloete and Jumbo Nel. Herby Hoffman won the pork roast, and Ina Davies is cooking the beef. Amanda won the whisky.
The chicken run was played on Sunday, 1 March. First prize went to Johnny du Plessis and Moses with 4+16 and second prize was taken by Cora van der Westhuizen and Anne Bonthrone. The eggcelent sportsman prize went to Bokka van der Westhuizen and Bernadette Pool. The 60/40 board went to Frank Greyvenstein and Bokka van der Westhuizen. Willie Gericke took home the beef.
Congrats to Ina Davies who is the champion after winning the club’s women’s open singles for 2015.
