Wentworth BC slows down over Easter

The kitchen is open daily from Tuesdays to Sundays from 8am to 6pm.

WENTWORTH Bowling Club had a not so busy week due to holidays and league games.

In the family and friends fun bowls played on Wednesday, 8 April, first prize went to Jo-Ann and Johan Vorster and Johnny du Plessis, Margaret Walters and Storm Neethling took the sportsman prize while Frank Greyvenstein also won the 60/40 board together with Dave Carroll.

In the Bluff Meats men’s pensioners bowls on Friday, 10 April, first prize went to Dennis Gericke, Jhonty Denneysen and Johan Nel with + 15, while second prize was taken by Colin Coetzee, Neil Smith and Dave Lavis with + 8. Eric Smith, Derek Stevens and Smiler Wilesmith went home with the sportsman prize. The first 60/40 board was won by Gerald Chalder Royal and Brian Brittain, second board went to lucky Gerald Chalder Royal again sharing with Smiler Wilesmith. Steve Evenwell is roasting the pork and Colin Coetzee took the beef for Sunday lunch.

Members must see the board for their teams for the league.

Events this coming week: Wednesday, 15 April at 3pm family and friends fun bowls; Friday, 17 April at 9am Bluff Meats men’s pensioners bowls.
