Bluff bowlers to contest men’s PN league
Chrissie Smith had an easy win over Norman Robinson and Koekie Koekemoer to sign for 26-16.

THE penultimate round of the men’s Port Natal league was played on Saturday, 13 June.
The Bluff Bowling Club A side playing Parkhill recorded a good 5-2 win while the B side lost 3-2 to La Domaine.
Next Saturday will be the final round of the league and with both Bluff sides playing at home, there will be a bring and braai to bring the curtain down.
Two pro-10 matches were played at Bluff on Sunday, 14 June where Gippy Vermelkem won his match in section nine with 295 points and in section 10, Sandy Millar prevailed with 262 points. On the same day four domestic nominated mixed pairs matches were contested in the first round. Eddie Human and Chrissie Smith had an easy win over Norman Robinson and Koekie Koekemoer to sign for 26-16. Two closer fought encounters involved Dawn and Kurt Spack who beat Dudley Dorrofield and June Foster 15-14 while Noel and Ronel Morel beat Dave Rowe and Patricia Buys 21-19. In the fourth match Alex Fisher and Janice Rogers put paid to Steve Baker and Kity Schaefer’s chances 21-16.
The Brian and Paula Osman Zutek any pairs will be on Thursday, 18 June and the JD Lashrite any pairs will be played on Sunday, 21 June.
