Osmans scoop sponsored pairs competiiton

The draw was done for the men's nominated pairs and the following players are due to play on Saturday, 25 July at 1.30pm, as the majority of players would not have been to the club to see the draw due to the All Natal.

THE Brian and Paula Osman sponsored Zutek any pairs competition was played at Bluff Bowling Club on Thursday,16 July.

Overall winners were Brian and Paula Osman on 4+30. First session was won by Dennis Gerricke and Alex Fisher on 2+11 and the second session went to Gary Moffat and Bob Hayward.

The meat was won by Dennis Gerricke and the board by Eric Smit. Drawn prizes were won by Ron Addinal and Tom Cloete.

This weekend, only one club competition was played due to the All Natal Bowls being played, in a points singles match Koekie Koekemoer beat Kitty Schaefer.

In the All Natal, the club had four women’s and four men’s teams playing. In the pairs competition Lilah Nel and Ronel Morel were unlucky as they lost their section on a count out. Bridget White and Glynis Mackrory, Daphne Reinhardt and Sarie Bisset, Elize Stapleberg and Chrissie Smith unfortunately did not win their sections.

The men fared a little better with Gary Moffat and Jorge Santos winning their section and also winning the first round of the play-offs which puts them in the last 16. The rest of the men, Brian Osman and Kurt Spack, Eddie Human and Noel Morel, Dave Le Roux and Spider Williams also did not win their sections.

Members and visitors are reminded of the vegetable derby on Friday, 31 July. Light meals will be available as they are every Friday night.
