Competitive spirit warms YWP club champs golfers
The nearest the pin winners were: Fourth - Carol Fontaine, seventh - Brian Martin, 15th - Robby Martin and 17th Alan Smith.
SUNDAY, 2 August was an occasion for the Yellowood Park Golf Club golfing fraternity to get together for the annual club champs.
Although slightly chilly conditions greeted them when they arrived at Toti Golf Course in the morning, the conditions soon warmed up with some fierce competition between the different sections setting the tone for a fantastic day.
Section winners were as follows: A division Robby Martin with 33 points. B division Warren Lester with 33 points.
C division Carol Fontaine with 35 points.
Carol’s score of 35 points saw her not only winning the club champs but also scoring a best net of 71 points. Well done to her.
