PN pairs postpones Bluff BC club compo

On Sunday it's the Port Natal pairs competition and there are three sections of men playing at Bluff BC.

FRIDAY night’s bring and braai at Bluff Bowling Club was a huge success.

It would be great if all those members attended every Friday night.

Saturday saw one women’s final being played in the drawn trips. Daphne Reinhardt, Lilah Nel and Paula Osman Beat Elize Stapelberg, Jay Retief and Koekie Koekmoer. In a points singles game, Glynis Mackrory beat Chrissie Smith 107 -67.

In the men’s drawn fours, Robert Mhlongo, Greg Dorrofield, Noel Morel, Harvey Simpkin beat Clinton Bisset, Norman Robinson, Rob Davies, Deon Els 22-7. In the other game Dave Rowe, Jorge Santos, Kurt Spack, Mouse Ratcliffe, beat Gary Moffat, Spider Williams, Doggy Tonkin, Dave Lavis 29-13.

On Saturday, 5 September the following competitions are posted – women’s final in the nominated pairs, Lilah Nel and Ronel Morel plays Elize Stapelberg and Jay Retief. In the two men’s nominated pairs competitions posted, Eddie Human and Deon Els play Noel Morel and Robert Mhlongo and the other game is between Dudley Dorrofield and Dave Lavis against Clinton Bisset and Deon Maritz.

On Sunday it’s the Port Natal pairs competition and there are three sections of men playing at Bluff BC. The club will unfortunately postpone the Acutts any pairs, but wishes good bowling to all club members playing in the competition.

The women’s annual fours competition will be played on 7 and 8 November. Enter early as there are normally two full greens. To enter contact Phyllis Maritz on 079-898-6392 to book your team.
