Mixed results for Bluff BC’s men’s fours sides
Robert Mhlongo, Greg Dorrofield, Jorge Santos and Noel Morel won both their games and play in the semi-finals.
TWO of Bluff Bowling Club men’s fours sides playing in the Port Natal fours championships had mixed results this weekend.
Clinton Bisset and his side got through to the last 16, but unfortunately were beaten in their next game.
Robert Mhlongo, Greg Dorrofield, Jorge Santos and Noel Morel won both their games and play in the semi-finals against Clinton Roberts and his team from Stella Park at Westville Bowling Club on Sunday, 18 October at 9am.
In club competitions played at the club on Saturday, in the mixed drawn pairs Robert Mhlongo and Glynis Mackrory beat Noel and Ronel Moral in the two mixed drawn trips games. Elize Stapelberg, Sarie Bisset and Harvey Simpkin beat Dave Rowe, Rob Davies and Paula Osman and in the other game June Foster, Bridget White and Roger Scott beat Dave le Roux, Dudley Dorrofield and Koekie Koekoemoer.
The finals of the men’s fours club competition posted to be played on Saturday, 17 October. Dave Rowe, Jorge Santos, Kurt Spack and Mouse Ratcliffe play Robert Mhlongo, Greg Dorrofield, Noel Morel and Harvey Simpkin.
On Thursday, 15 October, the monthly Zutek any pairs competition is to be played in mufti and on Sunday, 18 October is the JD Lashrite any pairs competition, both games start at 9am. All bowlers are welcome to join us for both these competitions.
