Sports promoted for youth development

A special thanks goes to Titans Hockey Club and all Wentworth coaches who assisted in the games.

THE Prince Cyril Zulu Zone Sports confederation was held on 16 December and opened to all code of sports. Youth aged 6 to18 from across Durban South were invited to take part in the Come and Play awareness program. The programme was held by the sports and recreation department and SDB area based management team.

Children from all areas participated in eight sporting code activities such as netball, soccer, basketball and hockey. The programme is aimed at developing and promoting sports as well as empowering the young sportsmen and women to better prepare themselves for their future.

As the event came to a close, the participants were treated to a delicious meal and a healthy snack to keep them energized and happy.
