Wentworth teen bowlers claims PN novice singles final

Men members are reminded that the club drawn pairs will commence on Saturday 13 February at 1.30pm.

MEMBERS of Wentworth Bowling Club proudly congratulate 18-year-old Zoë Dougall who emerged victorious in the final of the Port Natal novice singles championship on Saturday morning.

In the semi-final Zoë played as she had each game in the qualifying rounds, by taking an early lead and holding on to the lead throughout the game.

During the final, Zoë had her supporters gripping the edge of their seats when her opposition built up a 10-2 lead, but she remained calm as she methodically closed the gap in the score. With the scoreboard showing 19-18 to her opposition, Zoë picked up the vital three shots she needed to win the game 21-19.

Wednesday’s Family and Friends development bowls was won by Terry Micholson and Dudley Sanders.
