WANDERERS Bowling Club women bowlers are reminded that their club open singles is carded to start on 19 March, and all bowlers are reminded that entries close on Friday for the district mixed pairs (Oppenheimer), so be sure to enter your names on the list on the notice board.
Those who have not yet paid their subs will not be entitled to enter any of these comps until fees are up to date.
Taffy’s pairs is scheduled for Wednesday, 9 March in mufti, and as mentioned before, Taffy Thomas and Julia Venter have pulled out all the stops to source great sponsored prizes. All bowlers are welcome to join and it would be good to see some players from the clubs in the area, whose events are well supported by Wanderers members. Reciprocity would be appreciated. Call Taffy Thomas on 073-613-9733 to enter or confirm your team.
The third round of the night bowls will be held that same evening, 9 March.
The breakfast trips will be held next Sunday, 13 March in spite of it clashing with advanced rounds of the senior singles. Call Jeff Bolt with regards to either of these events on 082-808-7793.

Two weeks ago, the snowball stood at R500 and was not won as Lave Pango was not present to collect. Meat winners were: May Walker (lamb pack), Porky Hauptfleisch (rolled beef), Dianne Swan (pork roast), J Fourie (rump steak), Thomas Simpkins (chicken pack), and Brian Reid (chicken). The lotto was a carry over.
Last Friday the R600 snowball was again not won as Derek Stevens was not present. Richard Hendicott won R630 on the lotto with 4-7-10 and the various meat pack winners were: Porky Hauptfleisch (lamb), Richard Hendicott (beef), Des Demmer (roast pork), Thomas Simpkins (rump steak), Alan Swan (chicken pack), and Jackie Freeman (chicken).
Good news is that Bill Addinall is out of hospital and back at home recovering from aneurysms and kidney stones. Speedy recovery, Bill.
