Committee unchanged at YWP Sports Club

Friday night’s snowball rolled over again and is now sitting at R1600.

LAST week’s article in the Sun caused quite a stir among the Yellowwood Park Sports Club members due to an unfortunate misprint.

Instead of reading ‘YWP Sports Club predicts the exact score’, the article made mention of Woodlands club.

For those who spotted the mistake made by the Sun, well done. The Sun apologises for the unintended error.

This past week at YWP Sports Club, members got together for the club’s 50th AGM which saw the re-election of the same committee and one new committee member Norma. Clearly members are happy with the great work being done by the committee, so congratulations to chairman Warren Lester and his team. For those members who did not attend the AGM, they missed their chance to voice their opinions so refrain from badmouthing the committee. Should you wish to have your opinions heard, feel free to attend one of the biweekly committee meetings.

Friday night’s snowball rolled over again and is now sitting at R1600. The weekly meat draw winners saw the lamb roast won by Linda for the second week in a row, Trevor V won the beef roast, Alan Baker won the pork roast, Derek ‘the mechanic’ Rowsell won the chicken again, Greg Fern won the lamb riblets, Norman ‘the tool man’ won the pork rashers and Dowan ‘1 eye C’ won the wors. Special thanks go to Dirks Davenport for supplying the weekly meat draw prizes.

This coming weekend will see the Currie Cup final on the big screen between the Cheetahs and the Bulls. Predict the exact score cash prize for this game is R2,650. See you all at the club.
