Dave’s trio claim men’s bowls honours at Wentworth
The club’s Roley Taylor mixed pairs competition got underway this weekend and play will continue during the week.

FIVE days of torrential rain resulted in the cancellation of all planned bowls at the Wentworth Bowling Club last week.
The greens were opened on Friday in time for the Bluff Meat Supply men’s bowls.
Dave Arnold teamed up with Kurt Spack and Tomcat Cavanagh to take the top spot on the leader board. Second place was filled by Travis Engelbrecht, Neil Smith and Andy Jones. The sportsman’s prize went to Jumbo Nel, Dave Carroll and Barry Buckland.
Gerhard Hoffmann’s number was drawn from the bag to give him the raffled pork roast and Steve Evenwell left with the beef roast. Kurt Spack scooped the bigger prize on the first 60/40 board and then pocket the smaller one on the second board. Maria Cavanagh pocketed the second prize on the first board and the Flo Harper took home the first prize on the second board.
