Bonus point benefits Woodlands BC league bowlers

WOODLANDS Bowling Club men’s league fixtures was played at home against Amanzimtoti on Saturday.
Woodlands won one game and lost one game and got the bonus point.
On a chilly Sunday, the club hosted the shirts and skirts with overall winners, Arnie and Rina Harper winning on a percentage count out against Charles and Keagan Bauristhene who were sitting on the ‘perch’. Both scores were 4+10. Bad luck guys.
Second overall winners were Richard Hendicott and Chris Klopper. Eleanor Stewart snatched the R40 with Richard Hendicott taking the dregs of R20 on the money board. Richard Hendicott also walked away with the meat raffle. Drawn prizes went to skip Dixie and lead Tom Simpkins.
Note the casual fours breakfast will be held this Thursday, 1 June. Contact Andy Cloete to enter a team. Next Wednesday, 7 June will be the any pairs competition. To enter a team, contact Linda Hewer. On Sunday, 11 June the club hosts a fun day. Go along and have some fun and learn to play bowls.
Names should be in by 9.30am sharp and play will start at 10am. Cost will be R20 which includes the game of 15 ends with a boerie roll thereafter. Wear flat sole shoes and bowls will be provided for those who don’t have.
