Woodlands mixed drawn pairs bowls goes down to the wire

The meat raffle went to Cabous and the drawn prizes for skip went to Norman Moore.

THE Woodlands Bowling Club mixed drawn pairs between Norman Moore, Linda Hewer, Eric Coetzee and Gavin Conlon and Rina Harper, Bill Hewer, Andy Cloete and Dave Lloyd was played on Saturday afternoon in a tight neck and neck game, with Rina Harper and her team winning on a score of 14-13.

On the rink next door, the two Lynns were having a friendly game amid lots of fun.

On Sunday morning the shirts and skirts breakfast bowls was played, with Eric Coetzee and Claude Newman winning the second session on 2+11. Robin Grobler and Robbie Carr took the second overall prize on a 4+11. Overall winners were Arnie and Rina Harper on 4+19 and they are now sitting on the perch. Colleen Rodem won the R40 money board with Tom Cloete snagging the R20.

The meat raffle went to Cabous and the drawn prizes for skip went to Norman Moore and lead went to Jason Hewer. Members are reminded that the AGM will be held on Saturday, 16 September at 1pm for 1.30pm.

Members are to wear whites and each member should supply a plate of snacks for tea afterwards.
