Any pairs action heats up on Woodlands greens

ON a scorcher of a day, the Woodlands Bowling Club any pairs competition was played on Wednesday.
Overall winners on 4+11 were Tom Cloets and Robbie Carr.
Second session winners on 2+11 were Michelle and Debbie Nortje. Andy Cloete won the meat raffle, which was kindly sponsored by Yellowwood Park Spar and Gloria Rice won the R40 money board, with Gwen Tait snapping up the R20.
On Saturday Tom Cloete and Eric Coetzee played the next round of the men’s singles competition. Both men played a long, hard game but Eric was the victor to go through to the next round with a score of 21-13.
On Sunday the mixed trips final was played between Norman Moore, Rina Harper and Rajen Pillay and Gloria Rice, Eric Coetzee and Andy Cloete. Norman and his team won 20-11.
