THE Sun has six pairs of tickets to give away for the 2014 Durban Homemakers Expo, which takes place from 3 to 5 October at the Durban Exhibition Centre, Walnut Road.

Experience DIY at Durban Homemakers Expo
The 12th annual Durban Homemakers Expo is where you can view, touch and discuss a wide range of basic and essential home improvement products, as well as beautiful decor, accessories and furniture.
Together with media partner, DStv, the expo will present a diverse and representative local and national exhibitor line-up at 220 stands, offering ideas and solutions to beautify and improve your home. Start your Homemakers Expo experience by walking through the beautifully designed entrances designed and built by the students of the Design School of Southern Africa.
The ever popular “What’s it Worth” Antique Roadshow will be back where visitors can bring their forgotten antiques and heirlooms to be valued and appraised free of charge by trusted hosts, Thunder Auctioneers.
SCASA Barista Championships @ Coffee Lovers Theatre presents KZN’s best baristas and coffee experts. They will entertain, inform and inspire visitors with their impressive performances and knowledgeable insights into coffee preparation and serving.
See five local schools compete in the “My Durban” school mural competition with five fun and colourful interpretations of what Durban is all about. This must-see project is sponsored by Shave Paint and Decor.
Food lovers will not be disappointed as a range of deli goodies will be available to taste and enjoy. This year the Flavours of the World demo kitchen is where local chefs will delight you with inspiring live demonstrations.
Finally, for the second year running, support the CSI stand, A Brick in the Wall, where the expo supports St Monica’s Children Home, in an initiative supported by Meals on Wheels. Participate in this amazing initiative and buy your sticker ‘brick’ for R20 from Meals on Wheels and paste it on the Care Centre wall. A Brick in the Wall is sponsored by Oasys Innovations.
Go along to the expo which opens from 10am to 9pm on Friday and Saturday, and from 10am to 6pm on Sunday. Entrance costs R50 for adults, R25 for pensioners and children under 12 enter free.
