The Parlotones have joined with The-Unreachables, an online fundraising site to raise money for the Little Wing Music Foundation. The-Unreachables was launched in December with the aim of connecting celebrities with local and international charities to raise awareness and funds.
“The concept is quite simple. In exchange for a small donation to charity, each donor receives exclusive digital content from the celebrity, as well as being entered into a draw to win a one-on-one video chat with the celebrity, in this case, the Parlotones,” said The-Unreachables founder, Richard Shanks in a media release.
The charity the Parlotones has been connected with, the Little Wing Music Foundation, offers free music education, life-skills and mentoring to orphaned and underprivileged children. “We are thrilled to be part of this project. The Little Wing Music Foundation is a great cause with the potential to change lives across South Africa and with the help of The-Unreachables, we’re confident they will,” said an excited Parlotones frontman and vocalist, Kahn Morbee.
On 24 November last year, the Little Wing band was invited to perform at a music festival taking place in September in Las Vegas. The Little Wing Music Foundation co-founder, Tammy Dutton said she was blown away by the news. “The Little Wing Band performing in Las Vegas – it’s a dream come true. If only we can raise the funds to get them there.”
