This is a different route used by mountain climbers down into the Monteseel Valley, which presents some cliff edges and boulder scrambling. Fitness is definitely required. Hikers will proceed down into the Valley of 1,000 Hills and back again. Each hiker is asked to make a R20 donation to the Monteseel Conservancy. Enjoy drinks afterwards at the Hacienda Pub. Meet at 1.45pm at the Hacienda Pub in St Andries Street, Monteseel.

On Sunday, 19 November hikers will explore Gromor in Inchanga, meeting at 7am.

Call hike leader Margie Forbes on 073-437-6915. This 15km hike is graded two. This moderate hike goes across Gromor land through the old railway nursery, across the railway bridge and back to Inchanga. Petrol sharing costs R20.
