WEDNESDAY, 15 AUGUST: South Durban Community Environmental Alliance (SDCEA) hosts an air pollution workshop at Austerville Civic Centre from 9am to 1pm. THURSDAY, 16 AUGUST: The next Second-Hand Goods Forum (SHGF) meeting will be held at SAPS Brighton Beach conference hall on the first floor at 6.30pm. All second-hand goods dealers registered within the SAPS Brighton Beach policing area must attend. SATURDAY, 18 AUGUST: All are invited to attend a prayer meeting from 8am to 9am at Bluff Methodist Church on the corner of Wesley and Pearce roads (behind Mediclinic). Prayers will be directed to the Bluff community, municipality and all issues pertaining to South Africa. All are welcome.
SUNDAY, 19 AUGUST: Every Sunday, the Visually Impaired Bowlers Association has its weekly bowling afternoon at Berea Bowling Club in Durban from 1pm to 4pm. Blind and partially sighted people who are prepared to join this association can look forward to an afternoon of fun and fellowship playing bowls. Library starts local author database
MONTCLAIR library is keen to start a database of local authors who hail from the area.
Librarian Lionel Reddy requests local authors in the Montclair, Woodlands, Yellowwood Park and Clairwood areas to contact him to ensure they are on his database.
