A complainant not happy with the Dobsonville Police Station for delaying his quest for justice

Complaints that are unfairly dismissed at the Dobsonville Police Station should contact the police station Commander Brigadier Sipho Ngubane.

An Ethiopian foreign national tuck shop was robbed at gunpoint at Bramfischer and the owner alleged that his quest for justice was delayed at the local police station.

According to the shop owner Dolame Achomo, four males pretending to be CID cops arrived at his store travelling in a Polo vehicle.

He said one of the suspect jumped out from the vehicle and pointed his brother with a pistol before gaining entry at his tuckshop.

Achamo saidthat the suspects took R5000 cash and airtime valued at R6000.

They also arrested his brother for not being in possession of valid passport and documentation permitting him to be in this country.

Achamo arrived at the crime scene and was told by 4 suspects to pay them R1500 for his brother release,but only paid R500 as the rest of the money was prior taken by the suspects.

Achamo rushed to Dobsonville Police Station to laya  criminal case. However, Achamo is disatisfied that police officer that was helping him to open a criminal case demanded that he first showed them his passport before continuing to open a criminal case against the suspects. He left the police a disappointed man without the case being filed.

Dobsobville Police Station Spokesperson Constable Mzwakhe Xazi said, business robbery is one of the serious crimes in the country.

He added that every person has a right to report a criminal case at the police station and the case should be investigated free of charge

Constable Xazi urges the complainant to come to Dobsonville Police Station C.S.C office to report the case again.

He said if the complainant case was dismissed , the complainant should provide time, date and the name of the police officer who refused to help him.

Officer Xazi said the complainant should also tell them reason given to the complainant why the case wasn’t given attention it deserves.
