“We arrested two suspects, one of them was a buyer one was a seller,” Captain Phillemon Khorombi said.

There have been numerous complaints about the theft of water meters and electricity cables, this prompted police to have an undercover operation.

The owner (42) of the second hand goods shop in Union Road was arrested after he was caught buying stolen goods.

A second man (28) was arrested for selling stolen good.

An undisclosed amount of money was also found in the shop.

“We want secondhand dealers to know that, if they are buying or selling any stolen goods, they will be arrested,” Khorombi said.
