Following the march and handing over of memorandums to the City of Johannesburg Council, Premier David Makhura’s office as well as Human Settlement Housing officials, investigations by the South African Police Service will be underway by trying to solve the issue of RDP houses.
According to community leader, Moalosi Mathopa, investigations will include the occupation of RDPs illegally, investigations of bribery which sees people receiving the houses without proper procedure, corruption and fraud, re-allocation to rightful owners, putting back children who have been denied access to houses after their parents passed on.
