Listen: Residents complain about Eskom services

Tshepo Mhlongo present to take note

The residents of Diepkloof didn’t hold back their complaints at the Imbizo, Public Meeting with Eskom held at the Diepkloof Extension Club House.

Tshepo Mhlongo was there to restore their confidence, however, Vernon Mogole from Diepkloof Extension expressed his frustration against the power utility company, Eskom and said the company itself is filled with liars.

Edna Tshabalala had complaints about the quality of the Eskom electricity meter boxes. She said, “I ask that Eskom makes a plan to change or upgrade their meter boxes, because the current ones often refuse to accept electricity vouchers.”

Pensioners like Mogale raised issues about how Eskom always changes statements.

Tshepo Mhlongo said, “The meeting was successful. Eskom will consult again as according to the legislature that public participation is important in any development of the community.”
