The honourable Mayor of Mogale City Local Municipality, Patrick Lipudi, has expressed his loyal support for a youth empowerment initiative termed Mayor Skeem Sa Youth Implementation Expo.

The expo, which is scheduled to take place on August 31 at Coronation Park in Mogale City, is deemed as a window of opportunity for the youth since it encompasses topics such as entrepreneurship and economic development.

Mayor Lipudi jointly with the deputy and leaders of Mogale City Local Municipality attended the Mayor Skeem SA Youth press conference on August 16 at the Mogale City Municipality.

The conference was organized and facilitated by the young people of Mogale City as they were launching the Mayor Skeem Sa Youth Implementation Expo.

The Mayor is an advocate of this social drive because he cares for the youth. It is for the similar reason why he finds delight in celebrating his birthday with the community of Mogale City.

The municipality indeed has an accessible Mayor who is ready and devoted to witness the youth flourish and create endless opportunities.

Adding to that, the Mayor will host an event that speaks to entrepreneurs and job seekers. Basically, it will be a Youth Entrepreneurial and Economic Expo. This programme will seek to enhance their understanding of business dealings and wealth creation.

This is because Mayor Lipudi believes in seeing young people as creators of jobs, self-wealth and courageous contributors to our economy.

The primary aim is to provide both short-term and long-term solutions.

A short-term solution is equipping young people with skills that can assist them to make income for survival.

Long-term solutions would be the changing the mindset of young people from being consumers but rather to be creators of wealth by using methods that will sustain them and invest in the future of our city.

Mayor Lipudi says, “We gave the youth of Mogale City a go-ahead to run with this initiative because we believe they are the future of our city.”
