Police arrested an alleged suspect after finding a blank 9mm pistol and two live rounds of ammunition in his possession.
An alleged male suspect was arrested for possession of an instrument resembling a firearm and live ammunition at Kersiedorp Community Park on October 12.
Eldorado Park SAPS media liaison officer, Sergeant Fezeka Khobo, stated that members of the Eldorado Park Crime Prevention Unit, alongside Gauteng Traffic Wardens, received crime intelligence-driven information about a man allegedly robbing people with a firearm between Boundary Road and Cumming Road.

“During a search, members found a black 9mm pistol with its serial number filed off and an empty magazine. A further search of his left trouser pocket uncovered two live rounds of ammunition.”
The man failed to produce a firearm licence. The firearm was subsequently found to be a blank firearm.
