Equipping those living with disability with business skills

"We encourage learners to start small and do their little things"

People living with disabilities won’t have to go from pillar to post with Ditebogo Project; Consulting & Training is currently assisting them with learnership for 12 months. The learnership is for self-help association for paraplegics, impact, fiber processing, and manufacturing centre.

They currently learning how to sow and do patterns like the design and also theory, business skills, and self-development.

Director of Ditebogo Project; Consulting & Training, Rebecca Masilo said, “They should know themselves and be able to interact with other people and know what to do when you want to start a business, how to dress, speak and how to conduct themselves because some other people don’t have confidence.



She mentioned that they recruit people from Ammish Community Development, but our main recruitment Independent Living for Disabled.

Masilo said, “We would really like to see people with disabilities out of homes because parents hold back their children at home. Some people don’t get the information and this is a good platform to say come register with us.

“We have programmes but we don’t work with people who have a severe disability, the person must be able to come and work because we don’t provide transport.”

She added that the learnership helps with employment, growing upwards or laterally for instance if you have level one, you can do level two. If its level two they can do other things, some come with skills but they don’t have certificates and they can find a certificate to go practice at their preferable places.
