Two suspects arrested in connection with Kliprivier ATM bombing

Police recovered explosives and dye-stained cash during intelligence-led raids in Orlando East and Diepkloof, with more charges expected.

Two suspects were arrested on April 15 following an intelligence-driven operation by members of Crime Intelligence Narcotics, Sedibeng Tactical Response Team (TRT), JMPD K9, and Safeguard Risk Management and Ghost Tactical Services through the Eyes and Ears Initiative (E2).

This was after the team followed up on information on a suspect connected to an ATM bombing that happened at Kliprivier in February 2026.

The suspect was traced and found in Orlando East in possession of dye-stained banknotes.

Further investigations led the team to a second suspect in Diepkloof, Zone 4, where explosives were found.
