Suspect wanted for attempted murder nabbed in Soweto
Armed suspect was arrested after tip-off leading to the police his hideout.
A joint operation by the Sedibeng Tracking Team, Gauteng Traffic Police SLEU, and the PRASA Intervention Unit led to the arrest of a suspect wanted for attempted murder in Soweto.
The suspect found driving a silver VW Polo, was intercepted by officers who were acting on reliable intelligence.
Upon searching the vehicle, officers found the suspect in possession of a licensed pistol.
Further investigation revealed that the suspect was wanted in connection with an attempted murder case opened in December 2024.

The victim arrived at the scene and confirmed the suspect’s involvement, leading to the suspect’s arrest.
The suspect’s arrest brings relief to the community and sends a strong message that those who commit crimes will be held accountable.
