Two nabbed after Golden Highway joyride

The JMPD Region G Operations officers spotted occupants of a silver Ford Ranger acting suspiciously near Rietfontein Fire Station in Lenasia on March 23.

“Two individuals were apprehended with a blank gun and three rounds. Even seemingly harmless items like these can be used for nefarious purposes.
“The duo was taken to Eldorado Park Police Station and a vehicle check was completed and showed that the vehicle was not stolen, but the owner was contacted, and he was surprised to learn that his vehicle had gone for an unauthorised joyride,” said JMPD spokesperson Xolani Fihla.
